The best part about Easter for most students is a small fair that is set up with rides and games. In Padrón, the festivities are especially big and many students don´t come to school the day after the holidays as they are recovering from all the the celebrating. Students recall their favourite rides and games like the carousel, a rollercoaster, 6D experience, a grasshopper ride, and many more as they create them with plasticine.

Easter Egg
Students made this GIANT Easter egg by folding a piece of paper in half and cutting out their favourite shapes. When they opened the paper they filled in the shapes with colourful sheets of plastic. The "stained glass window" effect was best when they put the egg in front of the window to let the light shine through.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.
Touching upon the school´s theme of Space and Astronomy, students made a garland of stars by folding tissue paper and cutting out multiple star shapes. They used teamwork to stick their stars onto a very long piece of yarn. This adds a bit of twinkle to the classes!

Flowers Using Warm and Cool Colours
To get ready for spring the students decorated these flowers using only warm or cool colours. After colouring the flowers with fun patterns using curvy, squigly, zigzag, and straight lines, they added texture and more colour by gluing on pieces of yarn.

Peace Day
In school we celebrated a day of non-violence and peace. The students traced their hands and added symbols of peace and words of love and friendship to display in their classrooms. During an assembly, each class in the school presented letters and peotry to promote univeral love for everyone around them.

A Face Delcious Enough to Eat
Renaissance artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo painted creative and life-like portraits using fruits and vegetables. The grade 1 and 2 students created similar images by cutting out images of food from grocery store flyers and assembling a face.
